My second child, Tracy, now 8 1/2 years old would like to be famous. She has recently spotted Jon & Kate Plus 8 on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine.
"Why are they famous?" she wants to know.
"Well, they have twins and sextuplets that's why!"
"So?"
"Well, people find that interesting."
"We're interesting."
"Yes. A single mom with four kids, two from Russia and two from China. That is an interesting family, but once you get past that we are just like everyone else, but 8 kids under the age of 8 and all multiples--that is just crazy and people want to see what that is like."

Sometimes I just look at that delightful, mischievous smile and wonder, who did you inherit that from? She/he must have been delightful, too.
Someday, baby, you will find your niche and you will be famous. Just so you know, your mama is already proud.
